THE POLE HIPPOLIA, A STAKEHOLDER IN STRUCTURING ACTIONS IN THE HORSE INDUSTRY
Since it was created, the Pôle Hippolia has participated in implementing a number of actions contributing to improving the horse industry’s competitiveness.
équi-ressources was founded in 2007 and is the French national job and training centre for the horse industry. équi-ressources is the result of a partnership between:
• the Pôle Hippolia,
• the IFCE (French Horse and Riding Institute)
• and Pôle Emploi (French Employment Organisation).
The cluster is currently a member of “équi-ressources” Steering Committee. Find out more
The Masters in Science and Management (MESB) devoted to the horse industry was created in 2008. It is the result of a partnership between:
• AgroSup Dijon
• Caen University
• Kentucky University
• and the Pôle Hippolia.
It is the only Masters specialised in the horse industry. The cluster is currently a member of the MESB’s Orientation and Development Committee. Find out more
Created in 2009, équi-meeting® are trade fairs where professionals can come to promote and discuss innovations, expertise, and techniques directly related to a defined “horse” theme (farriery, tourism, mediation, facilities, etc.) Organised by the French Horse and Riding Institute, supported by the Pôle Hippolia, each équi-meeting® includes conferences, workshops, and demonstrations which are sources of new developments for the market concerned.
Hippolia’s innovation platform
Supported by the Pôle Hippolia, in cooperation with the Lower Normandy Region and the Department of Calvados, the innovation platform project was selected during the 2009 call for projects issued by the French Governments and the Caisse Des Dépôts et Consignations for its excellent level of technology. Hippolia’s innovation platform, which is open to horse research teams and R&D businesses, has since continued to develop thanks to investments in cutting-edge equipment. Find out more
Horse innovation circuit
During the 2014 Alltech™ FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, the Pôle Hippolia presented a summary of French innovations in the horse industry since 1990.
Staged as a circuit, visitors were invited to learn about the origin of products and services that are now used on a daily basis.
The Hippolia Start-up Village
This action, initiated by the Pôle Hippolia for Equita 2015 allowed several innovative start-ups to exhibit at major equestrian events by sharing a space, logistics, and costs.
This opportunity also gave these start-ups visibility and major media coverage and a group effect conducive to sharing experiences. Find out more
